Patrick McTigue Perfectly Small Homes

In 1967 I first started to live in a tiny room in Santa Ana California. It had a single bed a desk, chair and a window. I kept a salami in the desk drawer. Henry David Thoreau wrote in Walden  I had three chairs in my house; one for solitude, two for friendship, three for society.  I only had one.  By 1971 I was living in a 10 by 10 log mining cabin in the mountains outside of Aspen Colorado. Over the years I traveled the western states in the back of a pickup truck, a nine foot truck camper, and sailed the west coast in a series of sail boats ranging from 22 to 32 feet. Just recently it dawned to me that I always had a strong interest in small homes.

After a 35 year career in real estate and construction moving through 20 different homes starting small and growing larger and larger my wife and I downsized 6 years ago into our small urban home blocks from downtown Boise.

We are now using our knowledge of real estate, home building, design, quality living and small space organization to create the perfectly small house for our clients.
